Step Up – Start-Up
Every decade has a few key landmark magnets that define that time. This decade, undoubtedly is the one that belongs to start-ups. The start-up ecosystem has attracted thousands of young talented minds all over the globe, and India too has also joined the race in a prolific manner. Policy initiatives and efforts from the Indian government have been remarkable, supported by institutions and embraced by young talents all across India.
Likewise according to the 2018 MENA Venture Investment Report, total startup funding in the MENA region jumped by 31% over 2017 figures, with a record number of 366 startup deals being signed across the region that amounted to a cumulative investment of US$893 million (AED3 billion).The country is today considered the number one environment for innovation in the Arab World, according to the Global Innovation Index, and has succeeded in expanding its homegrown SMEs, as well as in attracting international talent.
Aligning with the Start-up missions of the two countries and strengths to empower the youth of both the nations YCC Step Up- Start-Up is a unique initiative to provide apt platform to aspiring entrepreneurs. Aligned with the Start-up missions of the two countries (India and UAE)and strengths to empower the youth of both the nations, YCC would organize a dedicated session at the ENGAGE GLOBAL Conference on ‘Step-up Start-ups’ with the following features:
- Experience the industry’s newest innovations, brand activations and benefit from exclusive one-on-one meetings with start-up mentors and investors
- Provide digital natives, start-ups in pre-seeding stages, and entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their innovative concepts, engage with investors, gain exposure, and participate in mentorship sessions
